Privacy policy

Through the website we receive only what you enter in a request form yourself, plus technical data about your visit.

The IP address a form is sent from is used briefly, only to block spam, and is not included in your request.

We do not ask for passport, biometric or genetic data on the website. Admission documents — passport, school certificate, language certificates — are requested separately by your consultant once you decide to apply with us: they are needed for the university application and the student visa.

• to contact you about your request by phone, WhatsApp, Telegram or email;
• to advise you and help you choose a university and programme;
• to see which pages of the site are useful and improve them (Google Analytics 4);
• to understand which ads bring in requests (Google Ads, UTM tags).

We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties for their own advertising.

We process data in line with Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. ZRU-547 “On Personal Data” of 2 July 2019.

The legal basis is your consent. By sending a form, you agree to the processing of the details in it for the purposes described in this policy. Under the law, consent may be given in any form that allows its receipt to be confirmed, and is withdrawn in the same form or in writing (Article 21).

Where data is stored

Law No. ZRU-666 of 14 January 2021 added Article 27¹ to the law: from 16 April 2021, personal data of citizens of Uzbekistan processed with information technology had to be collected, systematised and stored on technical equipment located in Uzbekistan.

Law No. ZRU-1125 of 26 March 2026 restated Article 27¹. Mandatory storage in Uzbekistan now applies to biometric and genetic data and to data of telecommunications service users. Other personal data may be stored abroad if the conditions of the law are met. We do not collect biometric or genetic data through the website.

Requests are delivered via Telegram, and visit statistics are processed by Google services and, on the application page, by Meta; their servers may be located outside Uzbekistan. By sending a form, you consent to this cross-border transfer (Article 15 of the law).

If you are under 18

Please ask a parent or legal guardian to send the request for you: under the law, consent to process a minor’s data is given by their parents (guardians or custodians).

Form data is not stored in a website database. The site’s server immediately forwards your request through a Telegram bot to the company’s work chat in Telegram, where it is seen by the staff who handle requests. A consultant then contacts you by phone or messenger. On Telegram’s servers the data is kept under the Telegram privacy policy.

If you message us on WhatsApp, Telegram or Instagram, the conversation is stored by that service under its own rules. We use it only to reply to you.

The site links to university websites, WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram. These services have their own data rules, and we recommend reading them.

We keep request data for as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy: consultation, admission preparation and supporting the student. Once the purpose is achieved or you withdraw consent, the data is destroyed unless the law requires us to keep it longer (Article 17 of the law).

Google Analytics data is kept by Google for the period set in the analytics settings.

Under Article 30 of the law, you have the right to:

• know whether we hold your personal data and what it consists of;
• receive information on request about how we process it;
• give consent to processing and withdraw it;
• require us to suspend processing temporarily if the data is incomplete, out of date or inaccurate;
• know whether your data has been passed to third parties;
• protect your rights through the authorised state body or in court.

To use these rights, email info@opal-education.uz with the subject “Personal data” or call +998 71 200 06 77. We will correct inaccurate data and delete your data on request. So that we do not disclose data to someone else, we may ask you to confirm that the phone number or email belongs to you.

The site runs the Google tag, which loads Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads; Google Tag Manager may also be used to manage these tags. The application page also runs the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): it tells Meta that the page was viewed and a request was sent, so that Facebook and Instagram ads can be measured; your name, phone and message are not sent to Meta. These services store cookies in your browser — small files that let a service recognise the browser on your next visit.

Lifetimes are Google’s defaults; browsers may shorten them. The list may change if the services’ settings change. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

How Google Ads counts requests

When you send a form, the site tells Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads that a request was sent and from which form. Your name and message are not sent to Google. To link the request to an ad click more accurately, the site passes the phone number from the form to the Google tag (a feature called enhanced conversions). Before sending it, the Google tag turns the number into a one-way SHA-256 hash, and Google matches that hash against signed-in Google accounts to credit the request to an ad campaign.

How to turn cookies off

• In your browser settings: Chrome, Safari on iPhone, Firefox, Edge.
• To opt out of Google Analytics on all sites: the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on.
• To manage Google ad personalisation: My Ad Center.

With cookies turned off, the site and its request forms keep working.

The site runs over HTTPS, so form data travels to the server encrypted. The server forwards your request to Telegram over a secure connection too. The Telegram bot’s access keys are stored only on the server and never appear in the page code. Only the staff who handle requests have access to the work chat where they arrive.

We update this policy when the services on the site or legal requirements change. A new version takes effect once it is published on this page; the version date is shown at the top.
